This better be it.. oh god CCP...
That could be it, but then again with all the various valid complaints floating around I'd be just as happy to think they might be addressing one of them today. ______________________________

Originally by: Admai Sket Oh come on mate - this is something like the 3rd or 4th time this week isn't it? Since the first patch or whichever patch screwed things up this week, there are people lagging all over the place, bugs popping up all over, people like myself with more than one account on one machine are unable to play and forcing EVE to quit and restarting - this week has been hideous for some people. So to add another extended downtime on a weekend I'd expect people to complain a bit.
So, you're complaining that all these problems are happening and then you're going to complain again about the prospect that they might be working to fix some of them?
Well... OK.
I'd much rather think that they're going to come in to the office on a saturday and get to work on some of these issues, that's customer service. Two hours longer downtime is two hours that I won't have to play with a bunch of lag or moons not showing up or instances crashing or whatever it is they might be working on. ______________________________

But why wasn't this sorted out earlier? There have been problems from the very second patching started, but now it's a saturday, when a lot more people will be playing than during the week (probably) and now they're fixing it..... again. I lost track of exactly what happened this week, but if they've already had a couple of other extended DT's this week, why not have just extended them even further and just sorted the problem out in one go, rather than cause the frustration of repeated extended DTs?
I don't know man, maybe they couldn't for some reason. It's assumed that none of the bad consequences of the patch were planned, so you can further assume that their causes take time to determine -- bug reports to sift through, testing to be done, etc etc.
Or they could just rush in a fix based on guesses and **** up a bunch of other stuff I guess.
Obviously it's a crappy situation all around, but on the other hand what's two hours? ______________________________

Barge V for the win.
In a way this situation is great for me because I'd been promising my corp I'd train into a covetor for weeks but hadn't had the guts to choke down those long skills. ______________________________
